I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Eau Claire in 1967. My undergraduate Degree included a major in Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) and a minor in History.
I have been in the general practice of law in Madison since graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School in June, 1974. I have maintained my own law practice since that time, representing clients in many areas of law. I was honored to serve as a part-time Court Commissioner in Dane County from February, 1986 until September 1, 2010.
I now limit my work to Family Law (Divorce, Annulment, Paternity), Adoptions (private or independent, step-parent, relative, and adult), Wills and Trusts (what I call Life Planning), Criminal & Traffic Law, Guardianship, Conservatorship and Probate.
I work alone by choice. I have computers for all tasks including legal research. By working without staff, I am able to better control my overhead, control the work that is done, and control my fees. By keeping my office small, I can render the kind of personal service that I believe clients deserve.
I also enjoy practicing my profession in the informal, quiet, peaceful surroundings my office affords me. There is no "hurly-burly" office atmosphere here. You can relax here and we can work on your problems. If you need, evening and weekend appointments are available.
I am concerned about the needs of my clients and do my best to help my clients whatever their needs. If I believe I shouldn't handle your case because it's outside of my areas of ability, I'll help you find an attorney in our locale that can help you.
My office is located at 131 West Wilson Street Madison WI

Adoptions I have done adoptions since graduating from Law School in 1974. I am one of about three attorneys throughout the state that developed the procedures now used for 20 years to assist people in adopting children. ..... more here
Criminal and Traffic Law As part of my law practice since 1974, I have assisted people who get themselves into problems with the police. This legal assistance is, to me, an extension of assisting people and their families. ..... more here
