One of the really enjoyable parts of my profession is being able to marry people in
my capacity as a Court Commissioner. Over the years, I estimate that I’ve done about 1,500 to 2,000 weddings all over Dane
County and even outside Dane County. I’ve been to people’s homes, seen virtually every park in the City of Madison and Dane County and even done some in hot-air balloons and on boats. I even did one
during the Rose Bowl in 1994 and another one right at midnight on New Year’s Eve!
I love doing weddings at my office (it’s also the least expensive option). I’ve got a beautiful living/reception room complete with a
sunken living room with a hardwood floor, a fireplace and music that can hold about 20 guests. There are plenty of nice backgrounds for photographs.
